Naps: Friend or Foe?

I love Sunday. First because I get to go worship in a great church & sing with a great bunch on our praise team which is lead by a wonderful worship pastor. I also love Sunday because of naps. We get home from church, eat, change clothes (usually back into my pj's), put Kensley to bed, Corby turns on the TV & I either claim a couch or just go to my bed. I don't nap, I sleep... like several hours of sleep. Today, I slept from 1:30 to a little after 4 when Kensley woke me up. However, there is a problem with naps. I usually wake up ill or still tired because someone has woken me & I didn't get up on my own free will... or internal clock... whatever. It takes me an hour or so to get back into the groove. Also, I normally wake up with a headache. I guess because I've slept so long. Then, we have the problem that I am experiencing now. It's 12:46 am & I'm still not sleepy. Well, no wonder! I slept all afternoon. So, I'm in a dilema. If I don't get my Sunday nap, it literally affects the rest of my week...I'm so sluggish and sleepy. But, if I do get my nap, it affects my Monday mornings (I have a hard time getting out of bed), sometimes I will take another nap when Kensley goes down for her morning nap, which affects my week as well because it makes me feel like I need a nap everyday. Can I really win on this one?

PS... is anyone having trouble using their spell check when composing a post? I've not been able to get it to work for several days.

We are a fan of the sunday naps as well. Andy is like you if he sleeps a long time he feels bad. I sleep for about 30 to 45 mins and feel great. Try to sleep for a shorter time and see how that works.

P.S. You earned your nap yeasterday. :)

ugh, I love/hate the daytime nap dilemma. It was an invaluable tool when I was pregnant esp., but now, it's very hit or miss. I hate also not being able to settle down at night, knowing you have to be up and at em before anyone else and they are all sleeping blissfully.
I haven't gotten my spellcheck to work the last two posts, I emailed about it and havent' heard back. R
