Let's catch up

Sorry it's been so long since my last post (I'm usually more regular than this). It's not been such a busy week, but we are still having computer problems, so I haven't been on it as much. This week has been a much needed slower pace. Last week was so super busy that I just needed some good ole R & R. Not that you get much of that with 3 kids, but a slower pace is acceptable. I took Kensley on Wednesday to have her pre-op done. She's having tubes on the 29th at 6:30 am. I'm a little nervous about it, but I've talked to so many people that have had it done, I know there is no reason to worry. I think the biggest challenge will be that she won't get her morning "nummy, nummy" until after the surgery. That's basically the only time that she really still nurses is when she first gets up. So that will have to wait awhile.

Carter started t-ball this week. It actually started last week, but we had the PTO open house & then they were gone last Saturday, so this was his first week to be able to go. Here's a team picture... they are all so cute! (Carter is first one on the front row)

Chandler lost another tooth today. I was putting Kensley down for a nap & he yelled "mommy, come here!" He ran into her room & showed me the tooth. I wasn't even aware that it was loose, but he said he didn't tell me because he was afraid I would pull it & it would hurt.
These are the boys school pictures. Chandler looks so much older now. They turned out okay.

I'm loving fixing girl hair. She's in the phase right now where it's kind of ragged, especially around the ends, but it's just long enough to put on top of her head or put in pigtails. Daddy wants a lesson in fixing hair soon. Kensley is my little talking machine. Here's some of her language for the past week:
"lilly" - really (my friend Angie taught her that)
"ohhhh-tay" - she picked that up from Chandler saying it all the time. He got it from the Little Rascals.
"da-dee wuk" - Daddy work.... she says this all the time if Corby is not home
"back"... while she shakes her head & points her finger - it means she'll be right back
"chi-chen" - chicken... one of her favorite foods
"jooooose" - juice... she's over the water thing & demands for "jooooose" if she sees me put water in her cup. I have figured out that she will drink it with only a very small amount of juice & a lot of water.
"tah-bee" - Toby... our neighbors dog that is fascinated with her & she is fascinated with him as well. She tells everyone about "dawg... tah-bee" wherever we go.
Anything that ends with a "ck or k" sounds like she's hocking a loogie or maybe a better terminology would be a German accent. Duck, book, back... there is more, I just can't think of them right now.
Another big thing that she's doing is asking to go pee most every time I change her diaper. As soon as I take off the dirty diaper she says "pee, pee, pee" over & over and points to the bathroom. I sit her down in the floor & she walks straight to the potty. She likes to sit on it, but hasn't done anything except toot on the potty. I idea of no more diapers in the near future sounds glorious to me.
Well, I guess that pretty much wraps up our week. I'm getting everything going for our Disney trip which is so exciting! Packing up here & there, trying to get a little ahead of the game.

Naawwwwuh

We've hit the phase of toddlerhood where the answer to everything is no. Even if she wants it, the answer is no. I've really tried to not use that word so much with her in attempt to avoid this stage, but obviously, it didn't work. At least when she says it, it's not the screaming and forceful NO! She has the more "southern draw" version of naaawwwwuh. As annoying as it is, it's cute.

On different note, we've made our Disney plans... yippie! I am SO excited! I think I'm more excited than the kids really. They kind of know what Disney is, but they have no idea to the magnitude of what's in store for them. I've already got a little notebook & starting to plan out stuff & make my list of what all to take. It is really going to be so much fun for us all. I've only been once & that was when I was in 9th grade. I had one day to see the Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Sea World. I really don't remember anything except for me & my friend Bobbie walking through Cinderella's castle & my friend running into this guy with a leash with an imaginary dog on it & the man barking like crazy because my friend "stepped" on his dog. We laughed our heads off at that. I should have other memories, but I don't.
