The joy of a baby

I forgot how much I loved having a baby around the house. Kensley is such a joy! She lights up our lives and makes everyone smile when things seem craziest. The boys still love her so much and want to hold her all of the time. 6 months is such a fun age. She is happy most all of the time & has a beautiful smile. She's getting the "gummie grin" as my sister-in-law so perfectly described it. She smiles so big those cheeks bulge out & all you see are gums. She's laughing a lot now at everything. She's so active and you can hardly hold her sometimes because she's so wiggly. When she's on the floor she reaches for everything & sometimes can actually get it by rolling or falling on her belly. Bath time is fun, but so slippery. She loves splashing the water and playing with her toys. Today, I ate some fruit snacks & the empty wrapper/package was on the chair. She got a hold of it & was licking it to death & drooling everywhere. Carter was playing with her & took it from her. You would have thought he pinched her the way she screamed. She was tore up that he took it. As soon as he gave it back, she was happy & smiling again. So now it's a game for the two of them. As mean as it was, it was hilarious! She played with that wrapper for about 30 min. Kids don't need toys. Some of her favorite things are chewing on an infants Tylenol bottle... the top of the dropper...the remote control, a spoon, tags on anything & sucking her thumb and holding onto any piece of skin she can grab on me. By the way, it really hurts... she pinches me all of the time. As much as I love every new stage she enters, I'm also sad because I know she's growing up... and way too fast.
