Just making it through....

I recently purchased Janet Jackson's: Design of a Decade Album (which is all of her old hits) for my iPod. Let me just say that I have been doing some jammin to this music. I loved her back in high school & had all of her tapes then (yes, that shows how old I am), so this is like re-living my high school days. ( and yes I did like more artists than just New Kids!)

I don't know why I've never thought of this before, but my friend Holly recently blogged about doing dishes vs. bedtime routine with the kids. She mentioned that when she does the dishes that she listens to her iPod. What a genius idea!!! I mean really, why have I not been doing this? I HATE!!!! doing dishes, but tonight as I was fixing supper & all of my kids were occupied with other things, I thought I would pop mine in for some music to keep me going. It was fabulous! I, of course, was listening to my Janet tunes & time just flew right on by. I was dancing around the kitchen & my boys were laughing at me singing... (especially "Nasty Boys"... they said "mom, are we nasty?"... ha! I guess I'd better watch what I sing around them).

So I am curious if anyone else has any ideas that help them get through doing stuff that they would rather not do. Leave me a comment.
