The last week

Well, I'm sad to say that this is the last week before my baby turns 1. It's gone by so fast. She's officially 51 weeks today. She's pulling up & cruising more around the house now, which means she's messing with more stuff. Her newest is messing with the answering machine. I'll have some great stories & pictures next week for her birthday.

I can spell Mommy

Okay, so Carter is in kindergarten. He's loving it by the way. He comes home every week having learned a new letter... or two. So the whole spelling thing is finally clicking and I can tell he's churning in his head sometimes thinking about words and sounds. Yesterday I was getting Kensley ready for bed & Carter comes up to me & says "I can spell energy Mommy". Okay, so how do you spell it? "N-R-G... energy!" (with enthusiasm) I thought about it a minute & technically, if you sound it out, he's right. Hilarious! Phonics is working for him.
