This caterpillar is eating parsley. Apparently they love parsley & turn into beautiful butterfly's because of it.

Carter had a field trip to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens on Monday. To be honest, not my favorite choice of field trips, but at least it doesn't involve animals and it's pretty to look around. It rained a good portion of the morning so it was kind of wet & icky. I think we haven't hit it at peak blooming season yet but it smells really nice around the gardens. However, I was super impressed with the greenhouse walk through.

I did learn a few things today. Did you know there is really no such thing as a vegetable? It's just a made up words. Veggies are really parts of a plant...stems, flowers, leafs, roots. Intersting huh? And also, if it has a seed it's a fruit... like peppers are fruits? I knew tomatoes were a fruit, but never thought about a jalapeno pepper that burns like fire being a fruit. I also found out that this flower can kill you if you eat it. Can't remember what she called is, but a heart medication is derived from this plant. If you are a healthy person & eat some of this plant, it can make your heart race so fast that you can die.

Mother's Day pics

I had a flabulous (my word, I CAN use it) Mother's Day! A great time at church, lots of pretty flowers from my children. Great lotion from my aunt & beautiful bracelet from my Mom. Best of all... relaxed & spent time with family & I got a nap.

Not Me Monday!

Monday is the official day to spill the beans of the the blunders, I mean well-thought through plans, I've made over the past week. It all stems from this blog that I've recently became addicted to. This is a whole new concept for me & I'm going to take my stab at it and encourage you to do so as well. Once I figure it out to where it sounds good. We'll see...

I most certainly did not stay up last night on the computer just to fix one more thing and end up staying there until 1am. Nope, not me!

I also did not cruise on over to disney.com that same night and drool over the phenomenal deal that I found for our family to visit Disney this year (which by the way we are not going) and even save the deal in hopes that some money might drop from the sky & we can go. Nope, not me!

I did not allow my children to eat butter popcorn rice cakes & fruit snacks for breakfast one morning because I keep putting off going to the grocery store for milk & cereal. Nope, not me!

I did not lay on the couch in an attempt to sneak in a little nap while I coaxed my two year old into fixing Mommy's hair with her Barbie hair set. I also did not talk her into fixing my hair instead of going outside because I didn't want to go outside. What kind of mom does that? Not me!

Lastly I did not jump for joy & sigh a breath of relief that my kids did not have homework tonight because I was just not in the mood for it. Nope, not me!
