Another busy week

It's been another crazy week for me. I've had something everyday & it continues into this weekend. We are heading to Statesville tomorrow. I am so excited. It's going to be a very eventful weekend, so I should have a great post when I get back. Me & my sister-in-laws are giving Corby's sister a baby shower Saturday morning. I love baby showers... everything about them. The decorations, the food, the gifts, the fellowship... it's all fun to me. Also, all of Corby brothers & sisters will be in town this weekend, so we'll have a wild a crazy time with all the kids together.

We went to the groundbreaking ceremony of the Boiling Springs YMCA (yes, it's finally happening) this afternoon. I've been seeing the beginning process everyday as I drive by.. it's on the way to Chandler's school... and they've cleared the land. To think about what a great facility it's going to be really gets me excited. The waterpark is supposed to be finished for next summer and the building facility by fall. I will probably be there every week if not every day with the kids. I must admit, we have a great YMCA here in Cleveland County... not just facilities, but programs & staff. A lot of great things about the Y were said today. Makes me proud that my hubby works there.

The search for a car seat

After having 3 kids, you know what you like & what you don't when it comes to baby gear & other things for a baby for that matter. I'm on a mission for a car seat for Kensley. She still has a little while longer in her infant seat, but she's so tall, it won't be much longer & I'll have to get something. I'm the type of person that likes to get the best deal for your money. I also want the best of most anything when it comes to my kids... especially car safety. I went through several seats with the boys to find what I did & did not like about car seats. I did find out that my kids are tall (well, not so much for Carter) & need higher harnesses when they get older. Through the help of a friend who is a whiz at finding out anything on about everything, I have narrowed down the search. I'm looking for a Fisher Price Safe Voyager Deluxe Convertible Car seat. It's actually made by Britax... big plus in my book. All the reviews I've read are great, but I really want to see it in person before I buy it. Anyone know where I might could find one? Babies R Us does not carry it...at least online they don't. Target carries it online, but said it doesn't in most stores. What does most mean???? I'm wondering if some Charlotte stores might have it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Happy Mother's Day

I had a great day today.... nice & relaxing.. perfect! This morning at church was Kensley's baby dedication. She looked adorable in her little dress & hair bow. Chandler said the hairbow looks like a plop of cake icing on her head. Ha! My parents & Corby's parents came for the service & spent the afternoon with us. Kensley was a crack up during the dedication. She "blah, blah-ed" & "bobble" talked the whole time. She's discovered how to make the bobble noise if she puts her hand to her mouth & moves it back & forth. Very cute... not so much in front of 300 people though. After the dedication we went to lunch & came home & veged out on the couch & watched movies all afternoon. The boys gave me my mother's day presents. Chandler made me a whole folder of stuff at school... a poem with a pack of tea, a book of things he will do for me & some other cute things. He also planted a flower at church & gave that to me. Carter made me some home-made soap at preschool & a sweet card. Kensley gave me lots of slobber kisses. It was great. Corby even got me a flower to wear at church. Granted, I couldn't keep it on very long because Kensley attacked it & tried to eat it. I needed a day to do nothing.
