I'm complaining

I have 2 complaints tonight... nothing I can really do anything about, just need to vent a little. First of all, this whole daylight savings time is for the birds. I am hating getting up in the dark at 7 am every morning & having to pry my kids out of bed with a chisel & hammer. It's just the pits. The longer days are great, except for the fact that my boys argue every time I tell them to come inside at 7 pm. "It's still daytime mommy!". Yes, I know, but it's time to get ready for bed. Anyway, on to complaint number 2. Gas... holy smoly... it's ridiculous how much gas prices have shot up the past couple weeks. I had to get gas today... 3.27 a gallon was the cheapest I found... I bought $50 and I didn't even fill the tank all the way. Bless you people who drive SUV's & big trucks. I would be sitting at home all the time.

Soap & other bubbly stuff

One of my favorite hand soaps is Bath & Body Works. I love the way it smells & even can fragrant your bathroom if it's small like mine. I love it especially when they have the 4 or 5 for $10 deals... I stock up. However, I do have a complaint about this stuff, especially the moisturizing kind. It stays in my sink in little droplets and my sink always looks dirty. It drives me crazy. The other kind does it too, but I guess because the other kind is clear (well, clear colored) it's not as bad as the creamy. Does anyone else have this problem?

On to bigger & better things... did anyone see the segment on the Today show yesterday with the 17 month old that could read? What in the world! She was reading books, word flash cards and she was even reading Ann's transcripts... amazing. Kensley is 17 months & I always thought she was very well developed in her language, but that's nothing compared to this kid. I just wonder how some kids can be so advanced at such a young age. She'll probably be graduating college at 10.

We had Flat Stanley come & visit from cousin Grant in TN for the weekend. (Cute project his Kindergarten class did)

Here's another pigtail picture of Kensley... I actually got bows in her hair his time.. SO cute! (see part of my mountain of clothes in the picture)

Kensley's newest craze is vacuuming. I pick this thing up at least 20 times a day. Good thing she can't turn it on by herself yet.

Off to do some housework today. This spring fever makes me want to nothing but just sit outside on the swing & read a book... or take nap :-)

Weekend wrap up

I'll make this a short post today. We had a great weekend. Corby took Chandler & a friend to the Bobcats game on Friday night. Saturday my parents came for a visit & we relaxed around the house & had a good lunch. Sunday was fabulous... church was great, KIDS church led in worship, I got a nap & we had some good family time together. I'll try to get back into my routine of updating more frequently this week. I've been buried in piles of baby stuff for the consignment sale & I've finally got it all tagged. Next weekend is drop off. I'll be glad to have my living room back again. Until next time.

PS... got my new siggy at the top of the page... LOVE it!
