What's going on this week

Yay! School is officially out for the summer. Chandler went in Friday morning, picked up his report card & we came home. I thought I would feel less stressed, but it hasn't happened yet. It's only been a few days & my boys are already at each other's throats. I've already threatened that if they don't get along that I'll send them to summer camp every day this summer & we won't go anywhere or do anything fun. Chandler cleverly came back with the response... "well, camp is really fun Mom." Oh well for my theory. I'll just have to keep them occupied this summer with lots to do so they don't get bored. Lord knows if boys get bored, something is gonna happen.

Chandler got his glasses... he's had a little trouble getting used to them, but he looks really cute in them. Kensley has been very happy this week & just so stinkin' cute. She LOVES to stand & wants to all of the time. She's getting better balance & can catch herself when she starts to fall. Corby put her on her belly to try to get her to crawl & she pushed herself backwards & fussed the whole time.

Chandler's class, along with the whole first grade, went on a field trip on Thursday to the Broad River Greenway. It was a lot of fun. I've never been there before & it was nice. We'll definitely have to visit there this summer. They had class awards & Chandler got the Hardest Worker award. His teacher said that he is always willing to do whatever anyone needs. They sang some songs about North Carolina, went on a nature trail, had a picnic lunch & got to play on the playground. This is a picture of him with his teacher's Mrs. Hamrick & Mrs. Snellings.

Today we went to a friend's birthday party. It was a pool party, so the boys were really excited about that. They are little fish. Chandler learned to swim last summer & he picked it right back up again this summer. They were both jumping off the diving board into the deep end & swimming all around. Carter had on arm floats of course, but still, that's pretty good I think for both of them.
