BSE Fund Run

Today was the first annual/inaugural/whatever you want to call it.... Fund Run at the boys school. It went great! I'm so proud of our kids & so thankful to all who helped out with the run. I'm the PTO president at the school and this has kind of been a vision of PTO for a couple years. To see it all play out successfully was fantastic. It was a long day but so worth it to see all the smiles all day long. Here are just a few pics from our day.

Soccer Season is here

Spring soccer is officially back in season. The boys have been looking forward to starting their games. This past Saturday was a beautiful day to celebrate the arrival of spring and to watch some soccer. This was Chandler's 2nd game & they won! Carter's first game was this past Saturday. Unfortunately, they didn't win after going the whole Fall season undefeated. Not the greatest way to start the season but they played a great game & only lost by 1 goal. Here's to looking forward to smelling like "outside" on Saturdays for the next couple months!

Little Friends

Kensley loves to play with her friends. I absolutely love to watch her play but even more so with her girl friends. There is something about girls playing together that is so sweet. They already have that mothering instinct & always want to hug and hold hands. Kensley loves her friend Bella. I kept Bella & her baby sister Olivia yesterday for my friend Missy. The weather was so wonderful & we played outside. The girls loved the swing-set. It's always much more fun when you have a friend to swing with. Here are some pictures of the girls playing.

Why do people do that?

Isn't a turn lane supposed to be for getting out of the way of traffic to to make a turn? At least 3 times in the past week I've either witnessed or been behind a car that has not done this. Nothing irks me more than to sit behind a car with it's blinker on to turn left while there is a perfectly clear, open, available left turn lane for them to merge into while they are waiting on the five-thousand cars to pass so they can turn. Pay attention people!

Sometimes I feel as if I am wearing a sign across my forehead that says, "Please, oh random person, tell me your life story." I guess some people are just very open & talkative. If I know you. Fine. I don't mind to listen to you. If I don't know you. Sorry, but I really don't care to hear about Aunt Bessie who just left her husband to go live in California with some random guy she met... or something along that line. But of course, I always act like I care. I guess that counts for something.

Customer service line at Wal-Mart. Please, oh please tell me why someone would return a 10 cent pack of ramen noodles. And better yet, why would customer service take it back???? I got in the longest returns line ever at Wal-Mart the other day. I'm kind of in a hurry because a friend is waiting in the car with the kids. But of course, they lady in front of my has to return the most random assortment of items. Ever. 2 packs of ramen noodles, 2 bottles of spray salad dressings, an opened box of applesauce, 2 movies, a small storage box, 3 easy mac n cheese individual bowls and some other random things that I don't remember. All while she's sporting some freaky looking LONG pig tails on top of her head... she's probably at least 40... and some skin tight leggings & a cropped shirt showing her mid section & back tatoo. Ewwww! I started feeling bad for being so judgmental & then started thinking that maybe she needed to return it because she needed the money. Then she whops out an iPhone & starts surfing the web. Ummmm... need I say more. Either I was way wrong or she needed to return the stuff to pay her cell phone bill!

Snow. No Snow.

Winter obviously wants to go out with a bang. I read a Facebook post that said "just like the church sign said if you are praying for snow, STOP!" Well, I don't feel exactly that way, but I'm kind of ready for winter to be done. Kensley keeps talking about going to the park and having a picnic when it gets warmer. That's because I keep telling her, "when it gets warmer...."

We are in the middle of our consignment sale. It's going great, but so busy right now. This weekend is our last, so if you are in the area, you should come shop. We've still got a good bit of stuff left, especially for baby girls.

Just wanted to send a quick update. I'm still here. Hopefully to pick back up with some regular blogging soon.
