Keeping my head above water

I'm floating... using a life preserver... but I'm staying above water. My house is a wreck, my laundry keeps piling up, my dishes are multiplying overnight and every room looks like a tornado hit it. However, I don't really care. I've been busy doing other things... like 400 wedding invitations... to really have time to care. It drives me crazy to have my house a wreck, but I'm biting my lip and saying, it doesn't matter and it will get better. This too shall pass...

Kensley has hit the destructive phase and that's partly why my house is upside down. She pulls everything out... everything. I've stepped on too many hot wheels cars to count, tripped over my mini vacuum at least 50 times this week, I search for my hairbrush daily and put books back on the shelves 2 or 3 times a day, just to name a few. I forget how tiresome a toddler is. When we go outside it wears me out ( I guess that shows how out of shape I am). She flip-flops from the swing, to the slide, to a different slide, back to the swing, to the sand box, to the trampoline, etc. She's really a good baby, she's just a busy body. She will entertain herself for quite a while when I need to get something done, I just have a big mess to pick up afterwards.

I probably won't post much this week or next because I've got lots going on, but I'll stop in for a quick note a few times.

Ah the distructive nature of toddlers. I told Missy one time the best way to keep one busy is to let them make a mess. You just have to make sure it is a mess you can deal with. I let Ian pull everything out of the kids desk or the end tables. Keeps him out of real trouble and most of the time I throw unneeded stuff away while I m cleaning it up. Be encouraged Kendra everything will get better. Have a good day.
