Now where was I?

It's been a whirlwind of a week getting back into the groove of real life again. For some reason my body rejects "normalcy" for about a week after a vacation. Then after the piles & piles & endless to-do lists can't hold anymore, I give in and get with it. However, we are getting ready for our semi-annual consignment sale (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO) this week and my to-do lists keep getting longer. I've accepted the fact that my house is not going to be clean or straightened for the next month, so I just have to get over it. As long as I manage to have clean clothes, food to eat & dishes to eat them on, we should be good.

Anyway, I have to brag on my kiddos for just a moment. I must say that Kensley is a great shopper. Really, all of my kids have been that way. However, the boys are growing out of it the older they get. As long as it's not a marathon shopping trip, they usually don't complain. Tuesday I had to make a really long Wal-Mart run with Kensley. She was fabulous! She's very laid-back, doesn't complain or whine or fuss about how much longer. (**Sidenote: my only complaint of her is that she has to use the bathroom in every store we go into. Never. Fails. Ever.) Today after Kensley and I had all day shopping trip to Gastonia, we picked up the boys from school and headed down to Gaffney in search of tennis shoes. The kids were all great! Granted, we were looking for something for them, so I'm sure that helped, but after 3 hours of shopping, most kids would be getting close to a meltdown.

I am very thankful to have great kids. But today just made me even more thankful how well behaved they were. Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of meltdowns, fusses, fights, etc. But for today, I just wanted to say thank you Lord for some really great kids!
